DESCRIPTION: A new film from the National Emergency Briefing – a public information initiative to ensure the UK is fully briefed on the climate and nature crisis.Public Emergency Briefing presents the national implications of climate and nature breakdown – along with credible, positive responses – in a single, accessible account designed for screening in communities across the UK.Screenings of the new 50 minute film with Chris Packham are building support for a government-backed, televised emergency briefing to the nation on the climate and nature crisis.The initiative began at Westminster Central Hall, where more than 1,200 MP’s, peers and leaders from across UK society heard directly from senior experts about the scale of the risks facing the UK and the response now required.The film extends that work into communities across the country, where people are now inviting MP’s to screenings, calling for politicians to support a Parliamentary Call for a televised briefing, and helping bring the film to new audiences.More information about the film is available here: www.nebriefing.org/peb🗣️ The screening at 7pm will be followed by an open discussion between all attendees and special guests.🎟️ Tickets are FREE but MUST be booked in advance due to limited availability.Please arrive in time to take your seat prior to the 7pm screening time.Ages 16+We expect to finish the event around 9.30pm but the end time is flexible due to the nature of the discussion.☕️🍫 Snacks and drinks will be available to purchase in the café.🚙 Off road parking is available a short walk away at Westwood Social Club.
