SUMMARY:Women’s Winter Singing Retreat with Yoga 2027
DESCRIPTION:This year’s winter Women’s Singing and Yoga takes place at the Earth Spirit Centre surrounded by fields and gardens on the edge of Compton Dundon village, near Glastonbury. We will have sole use of the seventeenth-century farm buildings, including the main hall with its woodburner and under-floor heating, where we will meet for singing and yoga.Food is included in the price, and dietary requirements will be catered for (if indicated in advance).In addition to the singing, there will be the option to join morning yoga led by the amazing Mary Dunand.Singing sessions will be led by experienced natural voice teacher and choir leader Mel Golding of Sing Your Heart Out Stroud (meets Wednesday evenings, 7.30-9, Trinity Rooms, Stroud), but you don’t need to be a member of the choir to join the retreat.Recordings of the songs will be available following the retreat.We are friendly people and will welcome your company and voices. There will be plenty of time to relax and explore the grounds and surrounding countryside.We will convene at 5pm on Friday 15th January for singing, followed by dinner. Saturday will start with yoga, followed by singing, lunch and either time to relax or the traditional ‘perilous’ walk. After dinner there will be a sharing circle where we sing and share more informally. On Sunday we will have our final singing session before lunch and leaving by 2:30pm.Please note this will be a drug and alcohol free event.Secure your booking with a non-refundable deposit of £100, fully transferable up to one month before the event.
