Harmoni’r Haf-Harmony of Summer 25 | |

‘Harmoni’r Haf’ is Welsh for ‘Harmony of the Summer’. This brand new camp will bring singers together to a gorgeous campsite in West Wales. There will be singing in harmony workshops, camp fires (to sing around), indoor and outdoor spaces (to sing in), a chance to hang out with new friends and did I mention…SINGING!
There will be several ‘main workshops’on Saturday am, pm and Sunday am and pm. There will be lots of other opportunities to sing, with extra bonus singing events created by ‘whoever turns up and wants to lead something’. There is usually a wealth of experienced people at these events, and the bonus workshops give us an opportunity to see who is out there and what they are offering.
ROUGHLY WHAT HAPPENS. The camp will be approx 80 people – it may be more, who knows, this is a new camp!
We have 2 big fields to camp in, and an overflow fields next door in case the event gets bigger than 100 in this, its first year.
We can cook on an open fire if we want to…or bring our own camping stoves.
There are flushing loos and two great hot showers. I will hire portable showers if the event fills up.
There will be a central fire every night and we can all gather round it and sing/natter. Small low chairs are the most sociable and get you nearer the fire! If the weather turns mean, wecan use the barn for just about everything and even and indoor studio that can shelter 50 or so people to warm up properly.
THE BARN – There is a fabulous huge barn to sing in with generous acoustics and the site is stunningly beautiful with great views. Jo and Adam have a naturally low impact way of being, and this is reflected in the site, which allows the natural beauty to shine through.
THE TEACHERS/WORKSHOPS. There will be at least 4 teachers for each of the ‘main’ workshop sessions: Jess Baker, Maya Waldman, Roxane Smith and Una May Olomalayie.
So, you know there will be plenty of high quality harmony workshops to attend. I aim to only ever one workshop going at any time.
Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) can ruin anyone’s festival!
KIDS. There will be kids events organised for the ‘main’ singing sessions in the mornings and afternoons. There will be a dedicated kids area that will be warm and dry! There is table tennis! Parents and Carers can organise things the rest of the time. I will put you in touch with each other.
There will be optional yoga or tai chi or Taize singing to start the day and there is also a beautifully situated sauna.
