Tickets for this event are for individuals who didn’t register through their choir.
The Choir Convention is a great chance to experience singing with hundreds of
people in one of the best acoustic venues in the South West.
The afternoon “Big Sings” bring everyone together to learn new songs, taught by ear by
four friendly and experienced voice teachers:
Ali Orbaum, Dee Jarlett, Jon Conway and Wendy Sergeant
There will also be an evening concert where choirs are invited to perform a few songs
from their repertoire. Sit back, relax and be entertained for the evening!
This is a really uplifting event. The emphasis of the day is on enjoyment and the nourishing power of singing together.
Tickets cost £15
Big Sings start at 1.15pm
Evening concert starts at 6.30pm
Doors open 12.30pm. Finish time approx. 9pm.

Ali, Dee, Jon and Wendy have been running popular choirs and singing events around the
country for many years. Dee Jarlett and Ali Orbaum founded the Gasworks Choir in Bristol
where Ali also leads Handfuls of Harmony. Wendy Sergeant leads several community choirs in
North Somerset and sings with and directs vocal group ‘The Chandeliers’. Jon Conway is an
arranger, vocal coach and sang Bass in ‘The B Naturals’. He is also a British Barbershop Quartet Champion.
