Sing for Medicine! | |
A joyous day of unaccompanied singing of World songs, and a charity fundraiser. What a brilliant combination!
We invite you to join in singing uplifting songs in glorious four part harmony – specially chosen songs from around the World. This is an opportunity for people who are new to singing as well as experienced singers, the day is open to all. The day is led by four popular Somerset community choir leaders Claire Anstee, Catherine Mowat, Claire Stronach and Pete Linnett, who will each lead a singing part, and the day ends with a small informal concert to family and friends. This is the sixth event we have led in Taunton, and people always leave on a high!
Proceeds will go to Medical Aid for Palestinians (map.org.uk). This charity does the equivalent work of Medecins sans Frontieres, but focussed in the Palestinian territories and for Palestinians living as refugees. It is UK registered charity, providing urgent medical care and working to develop the Palestinian health-care system.
Time: 10.15 for a 10.30 start – 4pm. Refreshments are included in the cost. Please bring lunch to share and a bottle of water.
