Art Outside Cotswolds workshop with Catherine Jones | |
Come and explore colour and a variety of views including allotments, woodland, fields and the old railyard goods shed at what was once Tetbury station.
We’ll start with some fun, warm up exercises to get you to relax and realise there’s no ‘right’ way to draw and then have a quick wander so you can decide what view you would like. Then you can spend some time on your own work. You could just work on one piece or you could make some smaller pieces. There’s also a lovely cafe on the site where we can relax.
Who is this workshop for?
Everyone! This is suitable for total beginners as well more experienced artists.
Cost:
£10.00 if you bring your own materials
£25.00 if you require materials.
I can provide paper, coloured pencils, chalk pastels and watercolours and some boards. You must book in advance if you want to borrow materials.
What should I bring?
Bring your own art materials unless you want to borrow mine.
You may want to bring a stool or little folding chair to sit on. Or even a sit mat…
Bring wet weather gear in case of rain. Drawing in the rain can be fun as you can get some interesting added marks but you don’t want to be cold and wet….
Maybe a drink and snack would be a good idea although we will review our work over a cuppa at the end if the cafe is open! So bring a little money. Usually it’s card only.
If you’re using watercolour remember to bring some water and a couple of pots as the stream in the field is completely dried up!
