Christine Collister grew up on the Isle of Man, and her professional recording career began after she moved to the UK in the mid 1980’s, when she came to national attention singing the theme for the BBC Television series The Life and Loves Of A She Devil. A period of great critical and commercial success when working with Clive Gregson was followed by a fruitful and enduring association with Richard Thompson.
Christine’s career now spans an incredible 40 years. Over that bridge of time she has released 24 albums, a DVD celebrating 20 years in the business and an acclaimed single with the BBC.Released in 2024 – Children Of The Sea is a very special project of 9
original songs inspired by Manx Folklore and a magical sense of place.The CD is accompanied by a beautiful book complete with lyrics, inspirations and stories with original illustrations by Manx artists.

Event FAQs
For the Keep Audio Co. venue:
There are some parking spaces available around the town centre roads, during the evenings. There is also the Westgate Street multi-storey car park, and Race Hill (nearest) car parks. These are usually free of charge in the evenings. There is a very small public car park in front of the gates. The Eagle house private car park is off Castle Hill and you can access it by driving past the front of the hotel, towards the Castle gates and take a sharp left up the hill or via Castle Street. If the car park is full, there is another public car park at the top of Castle Street and also at Westgate Street multi storey which is just a short walk through the castle grounds.
For the Eagle House venue:
There is a very small public car park in front of the gates. The Eagle house private car park is off Castle Hill and you can access it by driving past the front of the hotel, towards the Castle gates and take a sharp left up the hill or via Castle Street. If the car park is full, there is another public car park at the top of Castle Street and also at Westgate Street multi storey which is just a short walk through the castle grounds.
If you have paid an annual subscription for Folk Club membership, you are a member. If you have not done this, you can purchase a General Admission, non-member, ticket. Folk Club membership can be purchased at events and then you will be charged a member price for your ticket. Your membership status will be checked at the ticket desk, via the member checklist.
