I am the founder and leader of Queer Voices Gloucestershire choir and previous musical director for Stonehouse Community Choir. I run bespoke singing workshops in the community, for festivals and for corporate away days, as well as 1-2-1 private tuition. I have been singing professionally since 2001 with many bands and projects, have sung all over Europe and written and released a solo EP, 2 x EPs and album with my previous band, The Tatsmiths and 2 x EPs with my latest folk roots collective Dryadic

I am a member of the Natural Voice Network. Collaborations include Community Music Sounds London, Gloucester City Voices, Out & Wild Festival and Stroud Pride, Pride in Gloucestershire & Brighton Pride. My special interest is in empowering queer and women’s groups through song and harmony.

I am a passionate, experienced teacher. I work with students of all abilities and am happy to work with complete beginners. I am patient, easy going and encouraging. I believe that everyone has lots to offer and to gain from musical expression. Whatever your aims and abilities, if you love singing and playing then we can work together.

“Zora’s sessions are always instructive, informative and delivered in a way that is both fun to follow and energising to participate in. Zora’s confidence and enthusiasm bring out the best in her students and her methods of teaching help any student to find their potential, regardless of their own perceived ability.” Dave, workshop student

Zora is brilliant. I felt so conscious about my voice, especially my higher range and she encouraged me to find my voice there through patient guidance and helped me believe I could do it. She makes it fun to do and has helped me massively in my songwriting as I can do more with my voice now than I ever thought I could. I would highly recommend her as a tutor to anyone!” Cora Jaine, Singer-Songwriter

The benefits of Small Group Learning

Learning in a small group can be a relaxed and less intense experience than individual coaching, still enabling a good quality of focus from the teacher. It can be an affordable or convenient option for many and you benefit from making new friends and learning from fellow students. It is suitable for those who may not want weekly or individual lessons. Studying singing in a group format is also fantastic as you can share your impressions with like-minded singing enthusiasts and enjoy singing together which is great for confidence building.
