We are thrilled to welcome the award-nominated singer, songwriter, and one of the UK’s foremost fingerstyle guitarists, Emily Slade to Launceston Folk Club. With her warm, clear voice and intricate guitar work, Emily has captivated audiences across the UK and beyond. She is known for her heartfelt original songs and fresh interpretations of traditional folk music, all delivered with wit, charm, and a genuine love for storytelling.
Emily’s debut album Shire Boy received critical acclaim and a BBC Folk Award nomination, marking her as one of the most exciting artists on the contemporary folk scene. Alongside her acclaimed solo career, Emily has performed with The Phil Beer Band and tours regularly with the celebrated singer-songwriter Edwina Hayes, further showcasing her versatility and musicianship.

For the Keep Audio Co., venue, there are some parking spaces available around the town centre roads, during the evenings. There is also the Westgate Street multi-storey car park, and Race Hill (nearest) car parks. These are usually free of charge in the evenings.
If you have paid an annual subscription for Folk Club membership, you are a member. If you have not done this, you can purchase a General Admission, non-member, ticket. Folk Club membership can be purchased at events and then you will be charged a member price for your ticket. Your membership status will be checked at the ticket desk, via the member checklist.
