Special one day singing workshop for International Women’s Day | |
International Women’s Day singing workshop
Come and sing some gorgeous, a cappella harmony songs, taught in an inclusive and joyful Natural Voice style, to celebrate women worldwide!
All genders welcome. Young’ns (0 – 13 yrs old) welcome, free with a singing adult.
When?
Saturday March 8, 11am – 4pm.
How will the day work?
We’ll have a luxuriously long session singing together – Gitika and Kirsty will each lead a workshop of 75 mins each – with a coffee break (with biscuits too, of course) and we’ll have TWO WHOLE SONGS under our belts before lunchtime!
Lunch break will be short and sweet from 1.45 – 2.15. Please bring a packed lunch (and any other sustenance you may need throughout the day).
The afternoon session will be shorter, from 2.15 – 3.15 with Gitika and Kirsty team teaching.
We’ll then take a short break before rounding the day up with a SING THROUGH of all the day’s songs, before hitting the streets to defeat the patriarchy once and for all…
- Session 1: 11.00 – 12.15
- Break 1: 12.15 – 12.30
- Session 2: 12.30 – 1.45
- Lunch: 1.45 – 2.15 (please bring packed lunch)
- Session 3: 2.15 – 3.15
- Break 2: 3.15 – 3.30
- Sing through: 3.30 – 4.00
WHAT WILL IT COST?
There are several levels of payment available (and some further concessionary bursaries available) and they are labelled, for your amusement, thus:
- Generous Benefactor £40
- Pillar of the Community £34
- Skint Enthusiast £28
- Gen Z-A (age 13 – 25) £15
A BIT MORE INFO ABOUT FEES
This payment covers: a fair wage for prep, composition time, travel for both leaders as well as delivery of the workshop itself.
If you can afford to pay a bit more, your extra payment is much appreciated and helps to offset the lower payments.
If the Skint Enthusaist rate is still too much, please get in touch. We have a limited number of bursary places and also three reduced rate places in exchange for reception duty and tea duty.
Whatever rate you decide to pay is totally up to you, with no questions asked. We simply ask that you please consider your income rather than your employment status when choosing your fee band (for example, retired folk may not necessarily need to pay a ‘concessionary rate’ and someone in full time employment may not necessarily be able the pay the highest rate.) Many thanks.
CAN I GET A REFUND IF I CANT MAKE IT?
If it’s more than 1 month before the workshop?
We can give you a full refund, minus any admin or processing fees, or you can hold your ticket for further workshops to be announced for later in the year (stay tuned!).
If less than 1 month before the workshop:
If we can fill your space easily, you may be able to hold your ticket for a different workshop. If you don’t want to transfer to any future workshops, and the workshop has a waiting list and we can easily fill your space we may be able to refund you at my discretion, minus any admin or processing fees. If we can’t easily fill your space we reserve the right to retain the full workshop amount with no refund OR you can transfer your ticket to a friend.
If WE need to cancel the event for any reason:
We will give you as much notice as possible and you can either transfer to hold your ticket for another date (or the same workshop if reorganised for another date), or you can receive a full refund, minus any admin or processing fees.
Thanks to Rosie Sleightholme for these EXCELLENT guidelines!
