Riff Raff’s Winter Concert (Southville & Fishponds groups) | |
The Southville and Fishponds Riff Raff groups will be combining in a winter performance at St Paul’s Church, Southville, Bristol.
With a combination of energetic and more gentle pop and rock songs, Bristol’s colourful a cappella choir, Riff Raff, would love you to hear the songs they’ve been working on for the last few months.
Riff Raff Choir sings original song arrangements of everything from punk to Christmas pop, in four or five part harmony. The Southville and Fishponds Riff Raff groups are led by Elaine Wilson and Kieran Buckeridge.
Our warm up act will be getting us in the Christmas mood with some carols, sung by Elaine, Kieran and two Riff Raff members, Helen Bucknell and Ben Whitnall.
Please come along and join us in what promises to be an uplifting afternoon of song.
Doors open at 3.30pm.
St Paul’s Church is also home to one of our local food banks, so we’ll be collecting food donations – and you can help!
If you can, please bring one of the food bank’s most needed items:
Cereal
Long life milk
Custard
Biscuits
Chocolate
Instant mash
Toilet roll
Size 6 nappies
Deodorant
Washing up liquid
Shampoo
and leave it at the donation point when you arrive – together, we can help boost their stocks before Christmas.
You can also donate money online to the foodbank.
South & East Bristol Foodbank started out in 2011 with a few volunteers distributing emergency food parcels to those in need from a community café in Easton. Today they are a network of six foodbank centres, made possible by over 200 incredible team members, who together distribute around 16,000 emergency food parcels each year to households struggling to afford essential items.
They provide this alongside welcome, support, friendship and advice. And they’re committed to being there for as long as they are needed, thanks to the incredible support of countless people who choose to give to make this work possible.
