THE CONCERT: SONGS OF RETURNING 1pm to 2pm

Be immersed in song at this in-the-round concert with the Helen Chadwick Group. Helen has created site-specific choral events for the Royal Opera House, Salisbury Cathedral and Greenwich Festival, and now brings SONGS OF RETURNING to Calstock, Stroud, Shaftesbury, Exeter, Buckfastleigh and Frome: songs with fabulous harmonies, songs to uplift the spirit, songs to move the soul, songs to wake us up, songs to dream to and songs that are joyous and funny, with Clara Atkins, Helen Porter, Zara Ramm, Emily Robyn and Helen Chadwick. 

Clara and Emily are Choir leaders and singers who have been recording a new album with Chadwick. We’ll be performing some of that new material. Emily, from Devon, is also a composer.  Zara is an actor and singer who has performed trio song theatre shows with Chadwick (Songs for the Way Home). Helen Porter is a composer, pianist, singer and singing coach who has done many concerts and workshops for choirs in and around Devon and Exeter. The Helens have collaborated on four shows including Truth and Light Shining at the National Theatre.
