Following the sunny sell-out successes of 2023 and 2024, we’ve decided to do it again.

This singing weekend will be co-led by Bruce Knight and Roxane Smith. It will be a wonderful weekend of rich harmonies and an opportunity to get to know new friends and singers.

Most people will be camping/camper-vanning or glamping on the field and a few staying in local guesthouses

There are a limited number of glamping options.  Please email Bruce for more info:  bruceknight.voice@gmail.com    If you do decide to glamp you would pay Bruce directly for the unit, and also book a non-residential (singing only) place online here for £80 per person.

We’ll have ample opportunity to enjoy the river, the trees, the cosy welsh hills and the protective resonant barn.
The best thing about singing in the Barn is that protects us from rain and shine but makes us feel like we are very much part of the nature around us.

Roxane has been leading ‘Singing in Nature’ weekends at Camp Plas since September 2020.  Bruce has taught with Roxane at Camp Plas several times and is organising this year’s event (giving Roxane a break from the admin).
We’re keen to make everyone feel welcome and as comfortable as possible while singing in the ‘outdoors’.

Well behaved dogs are welcome to this event.

Rough Itinerary

Friday 29 Aug
Arrive from 5pm, pitch up, eat. There will be a short informal sing with Roxane and Bruce.

Sat 30 Aug
9.45 optional tai chi or yoga
10.30am-1ish: singing
lunch…..everyone brings their own lunch.
2-4.30 Singing! there will be a break of course and tea/coffee and Biscuits!
Evening: Socialising and eat supper together-ish. (Everyone brings own supper, no organised catering). There will be chatting and informal singing round a fire, maybe a small cabaret and musical jam, there may even be a big bonfire to gather around.  Some people will want to do a ‘turn’ and others may want to be audience!

Sun 31 Aug
there may be optional Tai Chi/Yoga at 9.45 am
Roxane and Bruce will co-lead a Singing Session 10.30-1.30

Other things to expect / hope for (!):  swimming in the river, sunbathing, circle dance, fun and games, laughter yoga, country walks.   There programme is spacious enough to accommodate everyone’s needs, and you’re welcome to dip in / dip out.   Bruce and Roxane will be flexible and gracious hosts!
