This document is one of the following legal documents related to the use of this website:

Introduction

Snappy Tickets is an online service that enables Event Organisers to create and publish ticketed events from which they can sell online tickets. Customers can search, select and buy tickets for these events through our service. Your Snappy Tickets account is a secure system where you can add or modify event listings and ticket allocations, record details of bookings, export customers’ details, view ticket sales reports and much more.

Snappy Tickets does not collect money on your behalf. We act as an introducer and when tickets are sold the money is transferred directly from the buyer to your chosen payment gateway account.

Contact

This website is owned and operated by Snappy Tickets.

You may contact us at any time through our contact page or email us at info@snappytickets.co.uk

Our contract with you

You agree to these Terms and you enter into a binding contract with us when you sign up for a Snappy Tickets account. If you do not agree to any portion of these Terms of Service, please do not use or access the Service.

We may amend these Terms at any time without notice. You should check the website from time to time to review the current Terms and Conditions.

Our Service

We provide the Service to you and have no relationship with your customers (“Ticket Buyers”). When you sell tickets or other services to Ticket Buyers through our Service, the contractual relationship is between you and the Ticket Buyer. You are responsible for providing your own terms of sale with your Ticket Buyers and accordingly, we will direct any Ticket Buyer who raises queries regarding your events or your services to you. You agree:

  • to handle all communication with your Ticket Buyers and not to refer them to us for customer support unless the problem is with the site itself.
  • to accept all liability in relation to the contractual relationship between you and the Ticket Buyer.
  • to notify your Ticket Buyers immediately, and update your Snappy Tickets event page, if your event is cancelled, postponed or has a material change from the original information given when the event was first put on sale.

Access to the Service may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons beyond our control. Your access to the Service may also be suspended, or your account may be cancelled at any point, at our discretion, including (but not limited to) if we suspect that you are using the Service for fraudulent or criminal purposes, if we are advised to by law enforcement agencies or if you have failed to pay for the service via credits (in which case we would notify you of the non-payment before suspension or cancellation). We will not be liable for any loss or damage that may arise from misuse of our service.

By using or visiting the Snappy Tickets website, you expressly agree to be bound by these Terms.

Registration

You must be 18 or over to sign up for a Snappy Tickets account as an Event Organiser.

The Event Organiser agrees to maintain and promptly update their Registration details to keep it accurate and current. If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or Snappy Tickets has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, Snappy Tickets has the right to suspend or terminate all of your accounts and refuse any and all of your current or future use of Snappy Tickets.

During the registration process, you will be required to choose a secure password. If we think the password is not secure enough you will be asked to provide a more secure one. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of passwords and account information and agree not to share your passwords, account information, or secured access to our website or services with any other person. You must not allow any other person to use your account to access the website because you are responsible for all activities that occur through the use of your passwords or accounts. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any disclosure of your password.

Also as part of the registration process you will be sent an email to confirm your email address. Your account will not be activated until you confirm your email address.

In the case of account termination by us, you will not attempt to register a new account without our permission.

Your account

When you sign up you are immediately able to set up your event, create tickets for your event and, subject to having set up an account with a Payment Processor, sell tickets for your event. You may also set up the sale of any associated services.

You can add Credits or make changes to your account via your dashboard and user profile. You may close your account at any time from ‘My Account’. You should make sure that you have taken a copy of any of Your Content that you wish to keep before closing your account.

You can also close your account at any time by emailing us at info@snappytickets.co.uk.

We will not provide a refund for any Credits you may have at the time of closure.

Payment Processors

Our Service allows you to take payments for your events and services from Ticket Buyers online using BACS, Cheques, PayPal and Stripe payment processors. We don’t take payments on your behalf. All money is transferred directly from the buyer to your chosen payment processor account.

Your use of the payment service requires you to set up an account with the Payment Processor you wish to use which will be subject to the Payment Processor’s own terms and conditions and privacy policy. You will have a direct relationship with the Payment Processor and will be required to read and accept their terms and conditions before taking payments from Ticket Buyers via the payment services offered through our Service.

In carrying out certain functions, the Payment Processor acts as a data processor to both you and us. By using our payment service, you acknowledge and agree to us sharing personal information and/or information about your transactions made via our Service with the Payment Processor.

If we receive notice from the Payment Processor that your use of their payment service is in breach of their terms or of any agreement between you and them, we may remove your ability to use our payment service and/or the suspension or termination of your account. The Payment Processor reserves the right to refuse the use of its payment services to anyone, for any reason, and at any time.

See the Stripe terms and privacy policy at Stripe Services Agreement and Stripe Global Privacy Policy.

See the Paypal terms and privacy policy at Legal Agreements for PayPal Services.

We have no responsibility for, and hereby disclaim all liability to any losses, costs, fees and penalties of whatever nature arising from the service provided to you by the Payment Processor.

Our fees

The fees for using our Service are set out on our Prices page.

Each ticket or service sale costs one credit if the ticket or sevice face value is over the minimum threshold of £2. We may also offer add-on services which will be charged as specified on our website.

Event Organisers must pre-pay for ticket sales upfront by purchasing credits. The more you buy in a single transaction the cheaper they are.

On creating your account, we will give you 5 free Credits (you will still incur fees to the Payment Processor if you use their payment service).

Upon purchase of Credits your account will be immediately updated if paying for them by Stripe or PayPal. If you pay by BACS then your account will be updated within 24 hours of receiving the money. If there is a longer delay in crediting your account and you lose credits due to this longer delay, then the credits will be reimbursed.

Credits can be used over an unlimited time period. Credits cannot be distributed or transferred across multiple accounts. Credits are non-refundable once purchased and surplus Credits on your account have no monetary value and cannot be transferred, resold or declared as an asset.

Your credit balance is displayed on every page of the website once you are logged in. You also get a credit balance in an email each time a ticket is sold, provided you haven’t disabled this option.

You are allowed to go into negative credits with the following consequences:

  1. Credits greater than +20: Full functionality
  2. Credits between zero and +10: Full functionality, but warnings of low credits will be seen in emails and your Dashboard
  3. Credits less than zero:
    1. Access to Order and Attendee data is blocked
    2. Ticket and Service sales continue but costs rise to 2 credits where applicable
  4. Credits = -30
    1. Access to Orders and Attendee data is blocked
    2. Ticket and Service sales are halted
    3. ALL Events are put on-hold till credits become positive again

It is your responsibility to keep an eye on credits and ensure they are kept positive. We may write to you just to make sure you are aware of your low credit status.

Our fees are non-refundable, even if an event is cancelled or tickets are refunded.

Event Organiser content and Acceptable Content Standard

You own all rights in and have responsibility for ensuring the legality, reliability, integrity, accuracy and quality of all content (which may include text, pictures, information about your event, tickets and associated services) that you upload to our Website (“Your Content”).

You have an option in the event editor whether your event is published on our Event page or kept private.

The Event Organiser is responsible for the creation and distribution of automatic discounts and discount codes. The Event Organiser must test their ticket sales to ensure that discount codes and automatic discounts have been set up correctly to provide the correct discount for the applicable event(s), ticket price(s) and validity period. Snappy Tickets will not be held responsible for discount codes or automatic discounts that have been set up incorrectly.

You must comply with the following Acceptable Content Standards when submitting Your Content to our Website:

  • You must ensure Your Content is accurate and complies with applicable law in any country from which it is posted.
  • You must not use our website to collect content from Ticket Buyers or event attendees which you do not need, for example, Ticket Buyer card details (these should only be collected by the Payment Processor), Ticket Buyer government or social security numbers, Ticket Buyer passwords or any other excessive or unnecessary personal data, in particular special category data being information revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or similar beliefs, trade union membership, physical or mental health conditions, sexual life, sexual orientation, biometric or genetic data. This provision does not prevent you from collecting special category data to the extent this is necessary for your event eg to allocate seating for people with disabilities.

Your Content must not:

  • be unlawful, harmful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, deceitful, fraudulent, infringing, harassing, morally repugnant or racially or ethnically offensive;
  • facilitate illegal activity;
  • depict sexually explicit images;
  • promote violence;
  • be discriminatory based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;
  • infringe any copyright, database right, trade mark or any other intellectual property right of any other person; or
  • conceal identity or be likely to deceive any person.

We may remove Your Content from our Website where, in our sole opinion, it violates our Acceptable Content Standards. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach our Acceptable Content Standards, to seek reimbursement from you of any costs we incur resulting from your breach and to disclose information to law enforcement authorities as required or as we deem reasonably necessary.

Liability

We are not a party to any transactions, other relationships, or disputes between you and Ticket Buyers or you and event attendees. Furthermore, we do not pre-screen Ticket Buyers and are not responsible for any fraudulent transactions by Ticket Buyers. We exclude any and all liability arising out of any actions that we may take in response to breaches of our Acceptable Content Standards and these Terms.

User Content

Snappy Tickets is not liable or responsible for any user content. The contributions of third parties do not necessarily represent the view or opinions of Snappy Tickets. Snappy Tickets cannot preview user content before it appears.

External Links

The website contains embedded links to, and may produce search results that reference or link to third party sites throughout the World Wide Web. Snappy Tickets has no control over these sites or the content within the site. Snappy Tickets cannot guarantee, represent or warrant that the content contained in the sites is accurate, legal and/or inoffensive and will not contain viruses or otherwise impact your computer. By using this website to search for or link to another site, you agree and understand that you may not make any claim against Snappy Tickets for any damages or losses, whatsoever, resulting from such action.

Unauthorised Use of the Site

If an Event Organiser is found to be using Snappy Tickets for in-house bookings only and an alternative online payment mechanism or ticketing provider for their online bookings, Snappy Tickets reserve the right to close an account.

Similarly, if an Event Organiser uses Snappy Tickets’s online bookings as a reservation system (i.e. zero value tickets) but the tickets have a monetary value and payment of these tickets are sought through alternative payment methods direct to the Event Organiser, Snappy Tickets reserve the right to close the account.

Purchasing Tickets

Order Confirmation

Order confirmation will take the form of a summary web page at the end of the purchase sequence. This will be followed by an email sent to the Customer. When the buyer chooses to pay via Stripe or PayPal, the order will autocomplete once payment has been successful. If paying by BACS or Cheque the order will be marked as ‘On Hold’ until payment has been received at which point the Event Organiser must manually mark the order as ‘Completed’ via the Orders page. Completed emails contain details of the tickets purchased, a unique purchase reference number along with a QR code, which acts as the Customer’s proof of payment and may be used by the Event Organiser as an eticket.

If a Customer does not receive a confirmation email after submitting payment information, it is their responsibility to confirm with Snappy Tickets whether or not the order has been completed, as only the Customer may be aware of any problems that may occur during the purchase process. Snappy Tickets will not be responsible for losses (monetary or otherwise) if a Customer assumes that an order was not placed because they failed to receive confirmation.

Any ticket-holder unable to present confirmation of purchase in the form of a print out of the email (or web-page equivalent) and valid identification indicating they are the individual named on the confirmation may not be admitted to the event in question, and will not receive a refund.

We try to ensure all prices are accurate but errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of tickets you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and we may either cancel the order (in which case you will be refunded the ticket price and any booking, transaction or supplementary fees you have paid) or give you the option of confirming your order at the correct price.

Dispatch of Tickets

Tickets are not sent to customers. Instead emails with proof of purchase completion act as en e-ticket.

Exchanges and Refunds

All Refunds, for any reason, are the responsibility of the Event Organiser. In some circumstances it may be possible to transfer an attendee from one event to another. Snappy Tickets provides the means to transfer attendees to other events organsied by the same Event Organiser, but it does not deal with any cost implications of doing this. It is up to the Organiser to arrange any payment differences.

Cancelling an Event

If an Event is cancelled by the Event Organiser it is the organisers responsibility to refund all completed sales and to email everyone concerned that the event has been cancelled. Snappy Tickets provides the means to display a cancelled message in the event and the organsier can obtain details of all registrants from the user’s Dashboard.

Referral Scheme

The referral scheme provides a credit incentive to Event Organisers to introduce new users to Snappy Tickets. Snappy Tickets will credit the introducing Event Organiser with 10 credits for each introduced user that signs up and starts selling tickets.

Event Organisers cannot self-refer (i.e. refer a new Snappy Tickets account where the new account is within the same local organisation or the introducing Event Organiser has an active involvement in the newly signed up organisation). Snappy Tickets reserves the right to cancel a referral if self-referral is suspected.

If a new sign-up fails to add the referral link during the registration process, Snappy Tickets can apply the referral up to seven days from the account being created providing an introduction can be evidenced.

Customer Data

In respect of any personal data as defined in the General Data Protection Regulations (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), also known as GDPR, the Event Organiser holds responsibility to ensure that they comply with the Regulations and continue to comply with any future amendments to the Regulations and any guidance notes or guidelines issues by the Information Commission.

Subject to all applicable data protection legislation and the terms of our Privacy Policy, all Customer personal data generated in connection to your Event shall be owned by the Event Organiser and / or their Organisation (as the Data Controller) and, subject to any relevant consents being granted by the Customer under  GDPR, shall be entitled to use such Customer data in whatever manner it sees fit.  Snappy Tickets as the Data Processor is permitted by the Event Organiser to access a Customer’s Personal Data to be able to deliver the Service as outlined in these Terms and Conditions of Use and the Data Processing Agreement.
