Lighter than Hydrogen! Harmony singing workshop with Katy Rose Bennett

Lighter than Hydrogen! Harmony singing workshop with Katy Rose Bennett
8th of November 2025
Gorbals Parish Church, 1 Errol Gardens G5 0RA, Glasgow
We are delighted to host Katy Rose Bennett in Glasgow for the first time. Katy’s songs have been shared in many choirs and workshops in Scotland over the last couple of years and we we are so excited to get the chance to learn and sing them with her up here. She will be bringing a load of her own acappella songs and arrangements which she’ll lead in her unique, energetic and infectious teaching style.
It’ll be fun, relaxed and engaging with everything taught by ear and no need to read music. You’ll leave with songs and harmonies stuck in your heads for a good few weeks!
Recent feedback from Katy’s singing workshop participants:
“I love Katy’s joy and energy – she is a force of nature. And writes beautiful songs”;
“uplifting and life affirming”;
“Inclusive, inspiring, empowering”

Ticket rates
There are four different tiered rates, in the hope that everyone who wants to participate in the workshop can do so. A very limited number of subsidised tickets are available (no proof of need is required). For those who are able to pay a wee bit more, please consider paying the generous/supporter rate as this helps ensure that the reduced and subsidised places can be offered and we can continue to bring exciting and diverse songleaders up to Scotland.
The following broad ideas are offered to help you to judge what rate might be right for you:
Generous or Standard rate:
I can comfortably meet all of my basic needs* and have expendable income**.
I own my home or rent a higher end property.
I can afford a car or private transport.
I have access to savings and holidays.

Reduced/Subsidised rate:

I can’t always afford transport, have no access to savings or have limited expendable income.
I rarely buy new things because I am unable to afford them and cannot take holidays or time off.
*Basic needs include food, housing, clothing, transportation
** Expendable income might mean you are able to buy coffee or tea at a shop, go to the cinema or a concert, buy new clothes, books etc each month
