Sing 4 Water Aberystwyth 2026

Sing 4 Water Aberystwyth is happening on Sunday 12 July 2026.  Yes, it is a Sunday this year!  This is an event where choirs from Aberystwyth and beyond come together to sing and raise money for Water Aid, a charity that provides clean water to communities that do not have safe and clean water.  Last year we raised £4500 and this year we hope to raise even more.  Every penny of the money raised by singers and donations on the day will go to Water Aid.

This is a whole day event with singers meeting to warm up at 9.30am, followed by a morning performance of the 5 songs all the choirs have learned together and then each separate choir performing 2 of their own songs.  The whole concert will then be repeated in the afternoon and we will finish by 4pm.

Your ticket purchase will give you access to our Google Drive folder, which will have all the resources for learning the songs we will be singing as one big choir, as well as information about arrangements for the day.  The drive will be updated regularly with information and music, so please check it weekly.  Most participants will learn the songs with their choir at their regular rehearsals but some people may wish to come as individuals.  We plan to have 2 separate day rehearsals in the Aberystwyth area in early July, which would support anyone feeling they need more practice.  Anyone intending to sing at the event would be welcome to take part in these rehearsals.

Ticket prices start at £5 and go up to £100.  They vary widely both to take account of what you may be able to afford, but also because some prefer to get sponsors for their singing thereby raising money to add to the total for the day, whilst others prefer to pay for a more expensive ticket, knowing that getting sponsors is not one of their strengths… It is very much up to you what you pay, bearing in mind that a major purpose of the event is to raise much needed funds for Water Aid.  Please, just email me if you want to pay a certain amount and you are not sure how to do it.
