Singing Workshop with Chaps Choir and Dominic Stichbury
Singing Workshop with Chaps Choir and Dominic Stichbury
Join us for a harmony singing workshop led by the amazing Dominic Stichbury and Chaps Choir.
Chaps Choir is a large male singing gang from London; say goodbye to the male voice choir most would recognise. The group has been sharing its joy-inducing, heart-string pulling repertoire to audiences since 2013. Prepare for pop re-hashes, snowy hunting calls, self-aware pirates and, well, lots of men singing …
Scientific studies show singing releases endorphins, serotonin and dopamine – the ‘happy’ chemicals that boost your mood and make you feel good about yourself. We’d love to encourage all folks across generations to try for themselves the joy of singing in harmony at this workshop with Chaps Choir and Dom.
All this is happening on Saturday 17th October…
- This workshop from 1.30pm until 3pm at Castle Street Community Centre in Kendal.
- The evening event with Chaps Choir and Kendal based community choir The Growing Singers performing at The Brewery from 7pm in aid of Growing Well (the mental health and horticulture charity based at Low Sizergh Farm and now at two other sites in Cumbria too). Tickets available soon from The Brewery website for the evening event.
