Design a Forest Garden – Goat Grid, Sussex (22 May)
Design a Forest Garden – Goat Grid, Sussex (22 May)
A practical one-day introduction to forest garden design, in Goat Grid’s six-year-old food forest at the foot of the South Downs near Lewes. A forest garden copies how a woodland works, with layers of trees, shrubs, herbs and ground cover supporting each other, and once established it needs much less work than a traditional veg patch.
You’ll learn the basics of forest garden design, choosing plants that work well together and planning layers and paths, and leave with a first design for your own space. Lunch included. No experience needed.
This day is also part of our seven-day Permaculture Immersion Week (18–24 May).
Access: Goat Grid is a working food forest with uneven ground. If you have access needs, please get in touch before booking.
Fair Share pricing: Supported £65 · Standard £90 · Pay it forward £115. Please choose the tier that best reflects your circumstances. Supported places are limited. How our pricing works
