14 14 people viewed this event.

A three-day introduction to permaculture, organic food growing and low-impact living at Coed Hills, a long-established eco-community, rural arts hub and centre for low-impact living in the Vale of Glamorgan, with beautiful, productive forest gardens.

New participants will explore permaculture’s ethics, principles and design thinking, and complete the Introductory module of the modular Permaculture Design Certificate. Returning participants and PDC graduates can deepen their practical growing skills with Ediculture. Everyone comes together for practical projects, shared meals and life in community.

Accommodation: free onsite camping with compost toilets, solar showers and tea and coffee making. Individual accommodation spaces in the gardens are available at an affordable extra cost.

Access: the main teaching space in the barn is wheelchair accessible, with an accessible toilet, and the railway carriage accommodation is wheelchair accessible. If you have access needs, please get in touch before booking.

Fair Share pricing: Supported £195 · Standard £245 · Pay it forward £270. Please choose the tier that best reflects your circumstances. We offer 5 Supported places. How our pricing works

Pay in full, or in two halves: choose a “pay half now” ticket to pay half today (Supported £97.50 · Standard £122.50 · Pay it forward £135). This is your deposit and secures your place. The second half is due by 2 April 2027, four weeks before the course, and we’ll email you a secure link to pay it.

Want to go further? Join our seven-day Permaculture Immersion Week at Coed Hills (12–18 July) or Goat Grid (18–24 May). If you’d like to complete your Permaculture Design Certificate, you can follow it with Returning and Deepening at Coed Hills (18–23 October) or Goat Grid (18–22 August), which can be considered part two of your PDC. You can do each course at either site.
