Raised amidst aural folk traditions, community singing has enabled me to widely share my love of collaborative music making for the past 15 years. I came of age scratching out folk tunes on the fiddle in informal environments where no one’s a stranger with music in the air. When people rattled out songs, I loved joining the chorus. Yet still believed I couldn’t sing! The Natural Voice Network style of song sharing changed my core beliefs. Hearing and mimicking repeated short phrases lays the way for all to share the exhilharation and natural human magnificence of making music together – with an instrument we’re born with.
