Tuesdays 9:45am – 1pm
Join us for basket club – a progressive course where you can expect to make one or two baskets using willow over 5 morning sessions.
Using the ‘stake and strand’ method you will learn a variety of techniques to get you started on your basket making journey. We will start with round baskets, with the potential to progress onto oval and other projects for those that continue.
This course is for adults only and is suitable for complete beginners or those with some experience wanting to increase their skills and knowledge.
All materials are provided with a mixture of willow from Somerset and homegrown from my coppice in Pembrokeshire.
You will be entitled to a full refund up to 30 days before the workshop. After this you will receive a 75% refund if I can fill your place.

Session 1 – Tuesday 14th April
Session 2 – Tuesday 21st April
Session 3 – Tuesday 28th April
Session 4 – Tuesday 5th May
Session 5 – Tuesday 12th May

I am a willow basket maker based near Cardigan, West Wales. I make traditional and contemporary willow baskets and craft items from willow grown in my Pembrokeshire coppice. I am inspired to create functional pieces from materials I can grow myself that are designed to last and also look beautiful. I believe it is crucial to keep this heritage craft alive and share these skills and so an important part of my work is facilitating workshops for adults and children.
