We’re very excited to be welcoming Ali Burns back to Canon Frome Court, where she’ll be diving into her back catalogue of over 500 workshop songs and choosing some of her favourite Golden Oldies. Expect to sing some favourite rounds, partner songs and one or two longer songs. Some may be familiar if you’ve sung with Ali before, but don’t worry if not – everything will be taught from scratch, and we’re in for a treat either way! Ali may send out some learning files before the weekend so you can have a listen and familiarise yourself with your part before you come – but there’s no expectation to learn anything in advance.

Weekends with Ali, are always much more than ‘just’ a singing workshop. They are welcoming, friendly, fun, moving, uplifting and more. Jennie Fisk’s helping hand and voice ensure that no one is left behind. And, at Canon Frome Court, you’ll always receive great hospitality – fresh coffee, home-made cakes and delicious freshly-made lunches.
You can book to stay in one of our guest rooms, or to stay with one of our members. We also have space to camp or park a campervan for a small fee. All set in the glorious surroundings of the gardens and land around this unique and beautiful community.

Organiser
Canon Frome Court is communal farm which regularly hosts public events. We particularly love running cultural events including singing workshops, open mics and arts and crafts. We pride ourselves on offering a warm welcome and home prepared food.
Our venue spaces are also available to hire.

Venue
Canon Frome Court is a farming co-operative and intentional community situated in 40 acres of beautiful Herefordshire countryside. Past events include a Communities Conference, Open Mic nights, exhibitions, concerts and singing workshops.
Our Community Room seats up to 40, and is perfect for smaller events, while our Music Room holds up to 200. The Music Room was purpose built to hold a large organ (now removed), and has an amazing acoustic, making it ideal to sing in.
Catering
The food we offer is made on-site and, wherever possible, we use organic and locally-sourced produce.
Lunches are vegetarian, with vegan & gluten-free options available. If you have any other allergies or intolerances please consider bringing your own supplies.
If you are eating off-site there are pubs in nearby villages, or a choice of cafes, pubs and restaurants in Ledbury and Hereford.
Parking
We have ample parking on-site.
Location
The nearest towns are Ledbury (8 miles) and Hereford (11 miles).Both have railway stations, but public transport is very limited. Both have a selection of accommodation, restaurants and cafes.
Accommodation
We can offer basic camping facilities, with access to toilets. You can book a space for your tent or camper-van with your ticket if available.
We have a small number of guest rooms to book, and also offer on-site accommodation with our members when available.
