Hopemongers Hootenanny – Edinburgh
Hopemongers Ryan and Penny will host an informal concert and open mic hootenanny with some musical/activist pals. The Hopemongers is a social justice bluegrass band. we run workshops and Hootenannys with one word at the core – Hope!
We will bring plenty of songs with singalong opportunities, sharing stories of solidarity and resistance, and host a space where anyone is welcome to share a song, poem or artistry of any sort reflecting on the world around us. So bring something to share, or join in when the opportunity arises, or just bring your ears. BYOB (we won’t be providing soft or hard drinks, so do bring what drinks and nibbles you need/want to sustain you!).
Tickets pay what you can on a sliding scale from £7-10. We will make a handful of free tickets available for those who need them, no questions asked, so just drop us an email if this is you and we’ll make sure your name is on the door.
The hall is is on the ground floor and is fully wheelchair accessible.
There will be a singing workshop with Penny and Ryan the previous day through in Glasgow. Info and booking for that can be found here: https://snappytickets.co.uk/event/songs-of-hope-glasgow-with-penny-stone-and-ryan-o-riordan/
