Sing Your Socks Off with Ali Orbaum and Bruce Knight
Sing Your Socks Off with Ali Orbaum and Bruce Knight
This singing weekend will be co-led by popular community singing leaders Bruce Knight and Ali Orbaum. It will be a wonderful weekend of rich harmonies and an opportunity to get to know new friends and singers.
Camp Plas is a beautiful remote campsite in mid Wales, not far from Welshpool. It lends itself well to singing weekends, due to the lovely airy open-sided barn, and well-equipped kitchen.
Tents and campervans both welcome, and there are a limited number of glamping options (please see below)
Ali and Bruce have over 50 years of choir leading experience between them, and have taught for many years at Unicorn Voice Camp and Whitsun Voice Camp. Ali is renowned for her positive clear teaching style, and great acappella arrangements. Bruce loves simple accesible songs, and leading all manner of singing groups and holidays.

Most people will be camping/camper-vanning or glamping on the field and a few staying in local guesthouses
There are a limited number of glamping options. Please email Bruce for more info: bruceknight.voice@gmail.com If you do decide to glamp you would pay Bruce directly for the unit, and also book a non-residential (singing only) place online here for £80 per person. But please contact Bruce first.
We’ll have ample opportunity to enjoy the river, the trees, the cosy Welsh hills and the protective resonant barn. The best thing about singing in the Barn is that protects us from rain and shine but makes us feel like we are very much part of the nature around us.

Bruce has been singing at Camp Plas since 2021, and has organised several successful weekends there with Roxane Smith.
We’re keen to make everyone feel welcome and as comfortable as possible while singing in the ‘outdoors’. Well behaved dogs are welcome to this event.
