Poetry in Nature, Nature in Poetry – with Mitch Smith

Join us on the land for a day of soaking in nature and poetry.

We’ll discuss the intrinsic link between the two, explore how other poets have incorporated the natural world into their works and what techniques a poet can employ to best depict nature. We’ll break for a hearty vegetarian lunch before heading out onto the land to garner inspiration for our own nature based poetry.

Mitch Smith attended Bath Spa University, completing a BA in English literature and creative writing and an MA in writing for young people. In her spare time she volunteers on the land with her two children.

Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements no less than 3 days before the workshop.

We encourage attendees to arrive on site in as planet-friendly manner as possible, e.g. by bus, by bike or on foot (directions will be provided). Alternatively, as parking is very limited, we will be providing transportation from Whiteway Road. Please contact us before booking to discuss any specific needs.
