Check-in

When the day of your event arrives, the Check-in page gives you a fast way to tick people off at the door – by scanning their ticket QR code or by finding them in the list. There is also a free companion mobile app, SnappyScan, for phones and tablets.

To open the page, go to the Dashboard, find your event, click Actions and choose Checkin Attendees.

Who Can Use It #

You (the organiser), site admins and anyone listed in the event’s Administrator Emails can open the page while logged in. For door staff who don’t have a login, set a Checkin Password in the event editor – they can then open the page, enter the password once, and stay logged in for the rest of the day. If no password is set, only logged-in organisers can get in.

Scanning Tickets #

The Scan tab uses the device’s camera to read ticket QR codes. Each scan reads the order and attendee from the ticket, filters the list to just that order, and checks them in automatically – you get a green success confirmation for each person, or a red warning if something’s wrong (already checked in, ticket for a different event, or a possible transfer).

The live counters at the top show TOTAL attendees and how many are Checked in so far.

Checking In Without a QR Code #

The Attendees tab lists everyone registered. Use the search boxes under each column to find someone by name or order number, tick the checkbox on their row (tick several people, or use the All box when everyone visible is from the same order), then tap Check IN. Check OUT marks people as having left, and CLEAR removes your selection.

If the page has been open a while, tap UPDATE Page to refresh the list with any new bookings.

The SnappyScan App #

SnappyScan is the mobile app version, for iOS and Android. It does everything the web page does and more:

  • Log in with your normal Snappy account
  • Pick an event to see its attendee list
  • Scan ticket QR codes with the phone’s camera
  • Check people in and out, or search by name or order number
  • See live attendance summaries
  • Works offline – if the venue has no signal, check-ins are stored on the device and sync when you’re back online

Because several devices can check people in at once – the app, the web page, and the Attendees table – the page warns you if you try to check in someone who’s already inside.
