Emily Roblyn
Emily Roblyn is a Canadian born singer and song leader who has been writing songs, and leading choirs and embodied singing retreats in the UK for over 20 years.
Emily grew up singing, performing and writing songs with her family and later went on to study at a specialist arts school in Toronto. She ended up singing as part of an environmental activist, theatre and music project in Europe for 3 years before settling in the UK and starting to lead community choirs and workshops.
Her belief in the power of singing to build community, connection, and healing has since led her to hold space and lead songs at funerals, baby and birth blessings, weddings, community grief spaces, protests, actions and life celebrations. Her first self-published song book, “Songs of Courage and Grace”, is on its second printing and many of her beautiful, original, harmony songs are favourites in singing communities across the UK and beyond.
Emily’s experience in and love of embodied presence, collaborative vocal improvisation (CVI), mindfulness and nature connection is at the core of her work, both as a songwriter and as a facilitator, and her warmth, enthusiasm and heart connection shines through in all her teaching.
