Sing For Water – Buxton, Derbyshire
Join us on Saturday 1st August for an evening of singing together in The Pump Room, Buxton to raise funds for WaterAid. We will learn lots of water themed songs and sing them in the beautiful pump room building. Everyone and all voices are welcome. We will learn the songs together by ear, repeating each part until we can all sing it. Expect a mixture of rounds and harmonies from around the world.
The suggested ticket donation is £10. There is the option to pay less or more, just pay what you can afford. All the money raised will go to WaterAid.
The Pump Room was built in 1894 as a natural baths for visitors to bathe in Buxton’s healing waters. It seems a fitting venue to sing and raise money for WaterAid. WaterAid are an international non-profit organisation with one goal: to change the world through water. Along with decent toilets and good hygiene, clean water is essential for health, dignity and a life full of opportunity. For more information visit www.wateraid.org/uk

Sing for Water is an ongoing mass singing project that brings singers from many choirs together in concert to raise money for WaterAid projects in Rwanda. Sing for Water was founded by singer, composer and musical director, Helen Chadwick. Over 23 years Sing For Water has raised over £1.4 million for WaterAid projects thanks to the tireless work of the creative teams, producers, choir leaders and singers in the UK and beyond. Smaller events are happening all around the country, sometimes in inventive ways like in swimming pools and on piers.
Singing will be led by Katie Rockliff and Vic Mead of Musicking Together High Peak CIC. Please contact us via email if you have any questions or need any further information.
