Add Credits

Snappy runs on Credits – instead of paying commission on each ticket, you spend credits as you sell tickets, email attendees and use other features. The Add Credits page is where you top up.

Open it by clicking the credits icon (your balance is shown next to it) or go straight to /add-credits/.

Keeping an Eye on Your Balance #

Your current credit balance is always shown at the top right of every page when you’re logged in. It’s also printed in every sale notification email, and if you’re running low a top-up warning is added to the email too.

If you’ve disabled sale notification emails they switch back on automatically when your credits are running low, or when a buyer leaves a note with their order – so you’ll never miss anything important.

Buying Credits #

Credits are bought like any other purchase:

  1. On the Add Credits page, choose how many credits you want – the minimum is 10.
  2. Checkout and pay as normal.
  3. The credits are added to your balance when the order completes, and appear in your Credit History as Purchase Credits.

One quirk: credits can’t be bought in the same order as event tickets. If your cart already has tickets in it you’ll be asked to finish or empty it first – buy the credits separately.

The more credits you buy in one go, the cheaper each credit is – see the Prices page for the full breakdown.

Credits bought by credit/debit card appear in your account immediately. Credits bought by BACS can take up to 24 hours to show, as I have to confirm the payment has been received – though I usually do this within 10 minutes!

Running Low #

When your balance drops below 10 credits you’ll start seeing reminders to top up. If it reaches negative, two things happen:

  • Credit costs double until you’re back in credit
  • Ticket sales on your paid events are paused – people can still view the events but can’t buy tickets until you top up (you’ll get an email if this happens)

Your Credit History always works, even with a negative balance, so you can see exactly where credits went.

Free Credits #

Not all credits have to be bought:

  • Sign-up credits – new accounts start with free credits to try things out
  • Referral credits – share your referral link (on the Event Settings page) and you earn free credits when someone signs up through it – they get double sign-up credits too
  • Credit FREE events – marking an event as free means selling its tickets costs nothing at all
